Creator of the selective prevention program based on scientific evidence Young people without drugs Parents With Rules, implemented in public and private educational institutions, co-author of the “Be Productive” Mental Health at Work Program which seeks to advise and train organizations in construction of its internal alcohol and drug policies, it is currently conducting an interdisciplinary investigation whose objective is to bring together the fields of public health, criminology and criminal justice, focused on the prevention of drug use and trafficking in the Americas.
Luis Eduardo Maldonado holds a PhD in Education from Universidad del Valle and is a member of the Paulo Freire Chair at Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. He has built an extensive career as a researcher and educator, focusing on critical pedagogy, educational globalization, and peace education. Throughout his professional life, he has contributed to numerous academic publications and conference presentations on teacher training and post-conflict coexistence. Additionally, he served for many years as a university professor and as an educational supervisor for the Bogotá District, playing a key role in teacher development and strengthening institutional educational practices.
