Prevention of the consumption of psychoactive substances in public and private schools.
We lead the protection of the rights of the most vulnerable children and adolescents by guaranteeing an addiction-free path. At the American Addiction Foundation, our strategic action focuses on prevention to ensure the comprehensive development of families. We unite the expertise of the private sector and the commitment of the public sector to bring life-saving prevention programs to every community.

Our Truth: Protecting the Future Begins with the Present Children's vulnerability to addiction is not accidental. It is the result of environments lacking protection, opportunities, and hope. For this reason, since 2018, the American Foundation on Addiction has been working where the problem begins: in the family and the community. We implement a dual strategy that strengthens resilience from the family unit and builds tangible alternatives in the community. We transform systems from the ground up: The family.
Approximately 1 in 5 adolescents in the United States has been a victim of sexual violence. This early exposure to risk is the main factor for substance abuse. Adolescent victims are three times more likely to develop addictions as a survival mechanism. The consequences are devastating: one-third (34%) of female homicides in the U.S. are perpetrated by an intimate partner.
At the American Addiction Foundation United, we attack the problem at the root: We empower girls and adolescents with critical skills in self-protection and boundary setting. Our mission is to provide them with the necessary tools to identify and reject risk situations from the earliest years of life, ensuring a future of prevention and free from addiction.
We are an entity that seeks to lead the work by promoting and recognizing the rights of children, adolescents and their families. At the American Foundation of Addictions we work hard to prevent drug use in vulnerable populations; For this we have linked to the private sector, public sector and national and international organizations.
